    The Policy and Legislation Action team advocates for political and legislative changes to support the TIPA plan. They serve as a support to all other action teams for their legislative advocacy needs and maintain collaborative relationships in both, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Senate

    Trauma-Informed Policy Roadmap

    The Policy and Legislation Action Team is proud to release their Trauma-Informed Policy Roadmap, which identifies clear policy priorities within the TIPA plan.

    Adoption of HR228

    HEAL PA is proud to be a partner in the development of Pennsylvania House Resolution 228. Sponsored by Chairwoman Pam DeLissio, House Committee on Children and Youth directs the Joint State Government Commission to conduct a review of all legislation passed out of HCY in the past five years to consider potential exacerbation of childhood trauma.

    PA Office of the Child Advocate

    After two years of advocacy, a co-sponsorship memo has been released in the PA Senate, and HB2913 has been sponsored in the PA House to confirm an Office of the Child Advocate for Pennsylvania. This legislation will make Pennsylvania the 24th state to create such an office to further protect and empower our children.
